The Reading Room of the Library of Science, Technology, and Culture "K.T. Dimaras" operates on the ground floor of the NHRF main building  and entrance is granted through 21-23 Vasileos Georgiou B' Street, upon presenting identification at the reception.
It is open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Facilities
Users of the Reading Room have access to the entire collection curated and maintained by the Library staff.
The Reading Room is equipped with:

  • 70 workstations of which 45 provide charging docks for portable devices
  • 5 public computers
  • Storage lockers
  • Free use of photocopier and scanner
  • Wireless network (WI-FI).

Interlibrary Loan & Articles Request

With the use of interlibrary loan service, you can request articles, books, and other documents not available in the Library's collection from a great network of collaborating libraries.

All users have the right to request an interlibrary loan

It is a free of charge service for research staff of the National Hellenic Research Foundation. For external users, charges depend on the library-provider, the type of material, and the method of delivery (postal service, courier), and are subject to prior agreement.

You may put your request for an interlibrary loan via email to library@eie.gr. Please provide the details of the item and make sure that the subject of your message will be: "Interlibrary Loan Request".

The "K.T. Dimaras"Library promotes free and unrestricted access to knowledge and supports that unhindered flow and exchange of scholarly information increases scientific progress and improves its impact on the global researcher’s community and society at large.

Open Access (OA) is defined as free access to scholarly information (published and raw data) without any economical, legal, or technical barrier. European Union, national and international research funders encourage the publication of scholarly articles in open access journals. The library actively supports Open Access initiatives to facilitate the dissemination of scholarly knowledge.
