Committee for Gender Equality and Monitoring of Violence and Harassment

Aiming at the elimination of discrimination based on gender, the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF),  during the 2002/02/27.01.2022 session of the Administrative Board, approved and adopted a Gender Equality Plan (2022-2024)  following a staff consultation process.  

Aiming at the elimination of discrimination based on gender, the GEP includes actions that cover five (5) key priority areas:

  1. Gender in Research
  2. Gender in recruitment, retention & career progression
  3. Gender in leadership & decision making
  4. Work-life balance
  5. Gender violence & harassment

Committee Members

For the appropriate implementation of GEP and prevention and response to incidences of violence and harassment, a five (5) member Committee has been established  as well as  a "contact person"  has been appointed for complaints & reports in terms of violence and harassment incidences at work. In particular, the Committee for Gender Equality and Monitoring of Violence and Harassment consists of:

a. Dr. O. Polykandrioti,  representative of the Research Personnel to the NHRF's Administrative Board, with Dr. P. Georgiadis as a deputy member,

b. Mr. K. Tremountatnis,  representative of the scientific-technical, administrative and auxiliary Personnel to the NHRF's Administrative Board, with Ms. V. Ganou as a deputy member,

c. Dr. V. Zoumbourlis, representative of the NHRF's Staff Association, with Mr. A Rekleitis as a deputy member,

d. Ms. I. Petrochilou, Director of Central Administration, with Ms. N. Siska as a deputy member,

e. Ms. M. Gritzala, Human Resources officer, as a contact point (mgritzala@eie.gr), for violence and harassment reports, with Ms. E Markopoulou as a deputy member.
