The library of the Section of Greek and Roman Antiquity (KERA) was founded in 1979. It is a specialist library with titles relevant to the areas of research pursued at the Institute. Its main task is to cover needs arising from projects based on the Institute's substantial archival holdings.
The Library of KERA contains approximately 11.450 books and pamphlets. Its collection has been enriched through programmes (such as Αριστεία), and from an expanded network of exchanges with various foundations (research foundations and universities in Greece and abroad, foreign archaeological schools), as well as donations.
Access to the collection is available to all collaborators on KERA's projects, as well as to external users (post-graduate, doctoral students) provided with a letter of recommendation.
The catalogue can be consulted via the address <http://argo.ekt.gr>, in the ''Humanities Libraries in Greece'' database hosted by the Web Server of the National Documentation Centre (NDC)
