Education

1992-1997  B.Sc degree in Physics, University of Ioannina.
1998-2000 M.Sc degree in physical chemisty, department of chemistry, university    of Athens.
2000-2004 Ph.D degree in physical chemisty, department of chemistry, university of Athens.

Research Interests.
My research interests are mainly focused on the development and application of methods for the computation of linear and non-linear optical (NLO) properties of molecules (polarizability, first and second hyperpolarizability) and the design of molecules and systems with remarkable NLO response for photonic applications.  Research topics evolve the NLO study of molecules (gas phase), clusters, fullerene based systems, with the use of methods for the proper account of the effect of electron correlation, vibrational contributions, relativistic correction, condensed phase systems (e.g. liquids) for the computation of the macroscopic first-and third-order optical susceptibilities. Of importance is the investigation of several issues related with the design of novel systems with very large NLO response.
