INSTRUCT is a European initiation that aims

Ø to provide open access to world-class integrated structural biology infrastructure to support European biomedical research,

Ø advance and disseminate technologies and methodologies, driven by strong in-house biomedical research programmes

Ø train researchers throughout Europe so as to optimize exploitation of the INSTRUCT infrastructure at their disposal.

INSTRUCT-EL

Greece became an affiliated country of INSTRUCT in December 2008.

The structural biology community in Greece is active in various fields, however, its members share a common interest in the field of “Drug Design”.

INSTRUCT-EL has been created in order to

Ø establish a users community at national level

Ø map available expertise and infrastructure

Ø strengthen collaborations within Greek Community

Ø promote further the field of Structural Biology in the country

Ø try to create a Virtual Knowledge-based Associate centre on Drug Design.
